Agile Systems Engineering - A Case Study of Ford and Vector
Our Ford case study shows how to practically implement agile systems engineering – on a global scope. Vector Consulting has supported Ford over several years to establish such agile framework. Agile Systems Engineering supports the continuous and flexible development of requirements up to validation. It creates understanding of critical dependencies and provides methodological support to address growing complexity. Due to the increased abstraction level at the beginning of the requirements development and analysis, problem descriptions are much clearer, simpler and less redundant. This not only improves the development speed, but also ensures clearly understood domain concepts within the project. Our case study with Ford highlights industry experiences and thus provides orientation in the linking of agile development and system engineering. Our industry projects show efficiency gains of 20-30%, primarily due to shorter cycle times.
