Systematic requirements engineering and management is a prerequisite for
successful projects and products. More than half of all projects fail or run into difficullties due to inadequate requirements engineering. Project managers and engineers know that there are proven practices, methods and tools for requirements engineering available. But they lack the overview of the theory and practice of requirements engineering and management to select appropriate methods, procedures and tools for their environments. And they lack the necessary detailed knowledge in order to be able to use such solutions productively. Yet, it is of utmost importance to develop and manage the requirements and to monitor them closely in order to meet cost and time constraints.
This training provides an overview of
structure and best practices of requirements engineering. You will learn the common methods of requirements analysis and tracing, and you will get insight how requirements are systematically developed and managed with modern tools and notations. You will learn to manage stakeholders and to deal the many different interfaces in requirements management. You will be in a position to transfer what you have learned to your own environments lives and to productively use it.
The training is based on the IREB curriculum. A qualifying exam according to
IREB „Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering“ (Foundation Level) is offered at the end of the training.
