The Vector Forum 2010 took place on 06. May 2010 at Vector in Stuttgart with the topic "Better testing — Methodology, Implementation, Experiences". Almost sixty executives from industry and experts from Vector Consulting Services met for a half-day sharing of experiences.
Testing and validation are critical for the development of electronic systems. On the one hand thorough testing is important to identify defects before the product is delivered or the component is integrated. On the other hand testing consumes almost half of the life-cycle costs. Sufficient reason to optimize test and validation, and implement a consistent validation methodology in order to increase efficiency.
Interesting presentations and practical discussions evolved around the questions: "How to improve test and validation?" and "What can be learned from the experiences in other companies?"
Experts from Draeger, Ford, Porsche, Siemens, Thales and Vector Consulting Services presented practical insights, how state-of-the-art testing methodologies, thorough modeling, better test tools and automation test can be optimized so that costs are effectively reduced.
Until late in the evening the participants discussed around a dinner on this highly relevant theme to share challenges and solutions from different industries and viewpoints. Several industry journals will further communicate on the Vector Forum 2010. Are you interested in the Vector Forum 2011 or in our Vector Executive Forums around the world? We will inform you on these events.
We will send you the presentations or inform you about our services to optimize your test and engineering (e.g., test strategy, early defect detection, test automation, efficiency improvement, tool chains, etc.). Send us a short Mail with your needs or proposals.
