Vector presents at the ESA aerospace congress (Noordwijk, 10. Nov. 2009)

The push has never been greater to introduce innovative technologies faster and more efficiently. This requires new thinking and new partners. Partners who see the broader picture of technology innovation and the benefits of working together. To make it happen, collaborators must buy into a common technological vision of the future and see where the money will come from to make it happen. This open innovation workshop will identify technology areas common to both the space and automotive sectors where joint programs can add value. In addition to the plenary talks, participants will contribute in the parallel breakout sessions to the setting of goals in their areas of technical interest. And, importantly, funding opportunities will be described to support joint innovation projects.

Listen to our presentation at 13:30 on the topic Software Best Practices.

Engineers in the aerospace and automotive fields have always been held to a higher standard, and for good reason. You just can't afford to have a failure in the field - lives are at stake. This presentation will look at the latest issues, trends, and topics which will influence aerospace and automotive engineering agendas. We will cover topics of mutual interest, such as requirements engineering, extending the systems perspective to software engineering, managing suppliers and global engineering teams, implementing product life-cycle management, assuring consistent data exchance across the borders of companies, introducing model-based life-cycles with focus on safety and security, and optimizing engineering processes for reduced cycle time and cost reduction. It is driven by practical experiences from companies with different size and scope thus helping to identify solutions and trends across industries.

Come and talk to Vector at the ESA Open Innovation Workshop on Space and Automotive Technologies 2009 on 10. November 2009 in Nordwijk.
